What the hell is going on in the world right now? And why are you part of it?
Radiant Being, Dear Reader,
In this weeks Soul-Letter I want to confront you with something that may be uncomfortable to hear. Something that challenges the way you see the conflicts, the violence, and the madness unfolding across our world.
YOU are responsible for all the wars in the world.
Yes, YOU.
Not because you started them, ordered the attacks, or pulled the trigger. Those who choose violence remain responsible for their actions.
Rather, because the very forces that divide nations are also alive within the human mind, within your mind.
Every resentment you nourish, every judgment you defend, every person you turn into an enemy, every battle you fight silently within yourself contributes to the collective atmosphere of human division.
Imagine billions of people feeding an enormous invisible cloud with their small inner wars. Fear, hatred, jealousy, suppressed anger, the endless need to be right.
The cloud grows heavier and heavier until, through the actions of those who wield power, these same patterns erupt into conflicts between nations, cultures, and peoples.
The wars outside are, in many ways, an expression of the wars we have never ended inside.
And here is where it becomes truly disturbing.
We have created political systems in which fear becomes a powerful instrument of control. Politicians can manufacture enemies, awaken nationalism, and divide human beings into opposing camps.
One generation fights a war. The next prepares for another.
And the masses participate, often without even realizing it.
Why?
Because the psychological mind is addicted to conflict. A mind disconnected from its natural capacity for love, intimacy, and creative expression accumulates tension. War offers an outlet for that tension, a sense of excitement, a common enemy, even the illusion of heroic purpose.
For a mind that has never experienced the living silence of its own Being, peace can seem terribly boring.
We have become so accustomed to conflict that we mistake its absence for emptiness.
"You are the world, and the world is you."
And now, in an age of nuclear weapons, humanity has reached a frightening threshold. The next great war may have no victors, no glorious conquest, no future to celebrate.
Only mutual destruction.
So what is the alternative?
STOP PLAYING THE GAME!
Look carefully at what is unfolding around you.
It is an enormous play of power, fear, identity, and separation. The suffering it produces is devastatingly real. The game itself survives through the roles we continue to accept and the divisions we continue to defend.
And here lies your freedom.
You do not have to participate.
You can refuse to feed the game.
When someone invites you into hatred, refuse. When the media feeds you fear, remain aware. When a politician demands that you despise another human being, recognize the mechanism. When anger rises within you, observe it without becoming its servant.
And when you encounter injustice, respond with clarity, compassion, and courageous nonviolent action rather than hatred.
The moment you stop fighting the world within yourself, you stop contributing that particular violence to the world around you.
Yet there is something even more powerful you can do.
THE REMEDY IS SIMPLER THAN YOU THINK!
You do not need to change the entire world. You only need to change the way you meet the world.
Be kind. Be empathetic. Be genuinely helpful to the people you encounter in your everyday life.
To the stranger who crosses your path. To the person serving your coffee. To the neighbor who is struggling. Even to someone who sees the world entirely differently from you.
Offer a smile where others offer indifference. Offer compassion where others expect judgment. Offer a helping hand where others simply walk away.
And here comes the beautiful part:
KINDNESS IS CONTAGIOUS!
Just as fear, anger, and hatred spread from one human being to another, so does kindness.
One genuine act of kindness can touch another person's heart. That person may carry this warmth into their next encounter, touching someone else, who passes it on again.
Imagine millions of these little encounters happening every single day.
We have spent generations infecting one another with fear, division, and hostility.
What if we started infecting one another with KINDNESS instead?
Rather than adding another drop of bitterness to that enormous cloud of collective conflict, you begin dissolving its influence through the way you live, speak, and treat others.
And remember, kindness is not weakness. It does not mean tolerating injustice or abandoning discernment. True kindness can be courageous, firm, and unwavering.
You may not be able to stop a war between nations tomorrow. Yet you can stop a war within yourself TODAY.
And you can begin spreading something entirely different.
"Peace in oneself, peace in the world."
Radiant Being, this is where every genuine spiritual revolution begins.
Not through another ideology, another enemy, or another promise of a better future.
Through the radical transformation of human Consciousness.
Through the Realization of Self.
Through recognizing that beneath all identities, nations, beliefs, and divisions, there is only the One-Mind expressing itself in countless forms.
And when enough human beings withdraw their hatred, their fear, and their unconscious participation, the machinery of division begins to lose the very energy on which it depends.
Peace is not merely the absence of war. Peace is the active presence of love in the way we live.
That is the spiritual revolution humanity desperately needs.
Stop feeding the war. Stop playing the game.
Become contagious with kindness.
A Prayer for the One-Mind
Great Spirit,
May I recognize every conflict within me before it becomes a conflict with another.
May I release the illusion of enemies, the addiction to being right, and the fear that separates me from my fellow beings.
Let kindness become my natural expression, compassion my response, and love the energy I carry into every encounter.
May I remember that the world is not separate from me, and that every act of kindness is an expression of the One-Mind.
Let the revolution begin here, within me.
Let me remember who I am!
As One,
Bear Saorin
P.S. Every person you encounter today is an opportunity to spread either fear or love. Choose kindness, and remember: it may travel much further than you will ever know.
