Culture Is Not Your Friend – Freedom comes from within!
Dear Friend,
Today I want to share a topic with you that has been with me since childhood. Around the age of 8 or 9, I first became aware of it - a realization so clear and obvious, yet to this day I am still astonished at how something so evident, so plain to see, remains invisible to the majority.
Most of what we call culture is not designed for your well-being. It exists for the convenience of institutions, corporations, religious systems, and governments. It doesn't serve your freedom - it serves agendas. Culture flatters you on one side, but on the other, it quietly insults, diminishes, and disempowers you. It shapes you into a consumer, not a creator. It teaches you to conform, not to awaken.
Look around: culture thrives on distraction. It idolizes possessions, fuels endless cravings, and sells illusions of happiness that never endure. It parades false teachers, shallow movements, and temporary highs. In doing so, it slowly trains us to live like machines - predictable, numbed, and obedient. Meanwhile, those guiding this machine are often the least noble, the least wise, the least compassionate among us.
"It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society."
But here lies the truth: you are not here to be molded by culture. You are here to remember your essence.
The Solution: Turning Within
Lasting peace will never be found in chasing cultural promises. The only true freedom lies in the Realization of Self. To turn inward, to return to the source within, is to discover that everything you seek - love, peace, clarity, freedom - is already here. The path of awakening is not about fitting into culture's mold; it is about dissolving the mold altogether.
When you realize the Self, culture loses its grip. You no longer depend on its illusions of happiness, its rules for belonging, or its rewards for obedience. You stand free, rooted in the truth of your being, aligned with the infinite.
"When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you."
This is why the spiritual path matters. Not as an escape, but as a homecoming. Not as rejection, but as remembrance. By going within, you discover that no culture, no institution, no ideology can define you. You are already whole. Already free.
May this serve as a reminder: freedom does not come from the outside world - it is born from awakening to who you truly are.
