The Illusion of the "Light Worker"– Why Your True Self Has Nothing to Prove.
Beloved Reader,
There’s something happening in the modern spiritual landscape that’s hard to name— and even harder to escape.
We see it everywhere: people speaking in light language, downloading cosmic codes, channeling divine beings, declaring themselves “awakened,” “embodied,” “5D.” It looks radiant. It sounds enlightened. But something about it feels… off.
Because in many cases, the ego hasn’t been dissolved. It’s just been rebranded.
Same need for validation, now wearing a crown of stars.
Same identity addiction, now cloaked in white robes.
Same deep-seated fear of emptiness, now smothered by “high vibrations.”
The truth is, most of what’s being called “spirituality” today is just another illusion— a refined, metaphysical layer of the same old dream.
And what gets lost in the performance is the only thing that actually matters.
The direct, intimate inquiry into who we really are.
The still, silent reality that existed before any identity arose.
The one question no light code, no guru, no celestial upgrade can answer for you:
Who am I?
Give up all questions except one: "Who am I?"
After all, the only fact you are sure of is that you are.
Not conceptually. Not metaphorically. But existentially.
Who am I—really?
Before the name. Before the roles. Before the story I tell myself about who I am.
And then there’s the shadow side—anger, shame, sorrow. These emotions aren’t enemies but messengers. I had to face my own anger toward my mother, a story I held onto for years. It took raw honesty and reflection to see it wasn’t really about her, but about how I perceived the world. Holding onto these stories only keeps the pain alive.
Because if we don’t ask that question deeply, relentlessly, with honesty and humility…
We end up performing truth, instead of living it.
We start collecting spiritual labels instead of shedding the false self.
We get high on language and “frequency,” but never actually *see* what is unchanging and untouched in us.
The path of deep Self-inquiry is quiet. It’s not marketable. It doesn’t glitter. It won’t earn you likes or followers. It won’t promise superpowers or soul missions.
But it will return you to what’s real.
It will show you that your essence is not something to become—it’s something to remember. That what you are is prior to all experience, all identity, all striving.
This isn’t a belief system.
This isn’t about “high vibes” or bypassing the shadow.
This is radical honesty.
The kind that doesn’t seek answers in the stars, but dissolves the questioner altogether.
What if your true Self doesn’t need to be improved or upgraded?
What if “healing” isn’t about fixing, but seeing through the one who thinks it’s broken?
What if awakening is not some event to reach—but a falling away of all that is false?
“Maya is not illusion; it is the creator of illusion…
Maya is that which makes the real appear unreal and the unreal appear real.
When you sit in that inquiry—
“Who am I, really?”
And you don’t reach for a single answer—
Something softens.
The mind quiets.
The masks fall.
And what remains is presence. Pure.
Not your personality. Not your story.
But the timeless awareness behind it all.
And suddenly, the game ends.
The illusion cracks.
And you realise—
You were never lost.
You just believed you were someone else.
This is the unspoken truth behind all the noise.
The one thing no performance can give you.
The living stillness that doesn’t need an audience.
And from here, from this quiet place—
Life begins to move differently.
Not as a role you’re trying to fulfill,
But as a mystery you’re finally resting in.
With silence and sincerity,
Bear Saorin 🙏🏼
