Your Body knows the Kosmos
... and remembers what the Mind forgot.
Dear kosmic Friend on the Walk on Earth, esteemed Reader,
In this weeks Soul-Letter I want to speak about the sacred rebellion of honoring the body. Not as an object, not as an image, not as a project to perfect, rather as the living doorway through which Presence becomes intimate with life.
Many people want awakening to be somewhere above the body. They want light, stillness, expanded states, visions, certainty, freedom from the density of being human.
Yet the body is not outside the Path.
The body is the very ground where the Path becomes real.
The breath.
The belly.
The heartbeat.
The skin.
The nervous system.
The quiet intelligence that knows before the mind can explain.
So many speak of consciousness while treating the body like a borrowed room. They push it, ignore it, shame it, decorate it, exhaust it, feed it without reverence, and only listen when pain has become loud enough to interrupt the mind.
And still, this body remains patient.
It carries you.
It warns you.
It receives life before thought arrives.
It feels truth before the personality has an opinion.
Your body knows everything about the cosmos.
Not as information.
As rhythm.
As pulse.
As timing.
As contraction and expansion.
As the ancient intelligence of life moving through form.
"Know the Self as the lord of the chariot, and the body as the chariot itself."
The moment you become a guardian of your own body, something ancient starts to move with you. A hidden current begins to speak in ways that are subtle, simple, and unmistakably intimate.
You begin to feel what nourishes your energy and what drains it.
You begin to feel where your yes is honest and where your yes is only fear wearing a smile.
You begin to feel which spaces open your breath and which ones make your inner fire shrink.
The body does not speak in arguments. It speaks as warmth, contraction, openness, tiredness, ease, ache, breath, hunger, impulse, and calm.
This is why the question is not, "What is the technique?"
There is no technique.
Technique can assist, ritual can remind, practice can steady the mind. Yet the root is sacred: You are arising out of this body and you have to really honor it.
Not worship the image of it.
Honor it.
Not turn it into a personal identity.
Listen to it.
Not control it through punishment.
Become devoted to it.
Self-devotion is not vanity. It is not obsession with shape, youth, strength, or appearance. Self-devotion is the inner vow that says:
I will not abandon the vessel through which life is breathing me.
I will not compromise the energy that I am simply to remain acceptable to the noise around me.
I will not betray the fire entrusted to this form.
"The body is the first instrument of sacred living."
The one who is devoted to the body in this way becomes difficult to control.
Not aggressive.
Not closed.
Not hard.
Simply awake enough to feel when life force is being spent in the wrong direction.
Such a human no longer sells their silence for approval. They no longer offer their presence to every demand, every emotional storm, every expectation, every chaos that asks for entry.
At some point the prayer becomes very simple:
I cannot compromise this energy which I am for anybody's noise.
That means, basically, you are becoming a rebel.
Not a rebel against life.
A rebel for life.
Not someone who fights the world.
Someone who refuses to betray the inner current.
This rebellion is quiet. It may look like leaving the room. It may look like resting when the mind says you should continue. It may look like eating with reverence, saying no with love, walking away from confusion, choosing silence instead of explaining your soul to those who do not listen.
And in this sacred rebellion, something essential returns.
Your body stops being treated as an inconvenience and becomes a teacher again.
Your tiredness becomes instruction.
Your breath becomes guidance.
Your sensitivity becomes intelligence.
Your energy becomes sacred.
Life is asking you to burn and you cannot compromise your burning.
So what is the solution when you feel scattered, drained, invaded, or far from yourself?
Return to guardianship.
Before you say yes, pause.
Place one hand on the heart, one hand on the belly, and ask:
Is this in service of my life force, or is it asking me to abandon it?
Then wait.
Listen first in the body. Not as superstition. As Presence.
Eat with reverence. Rest without guilt. Move as if the body were a sacred instrument. Speak truth before resentment gathers. Leave what repeatedly tightens the breath. Choose what brings the system back into dignity, clarity, and warmth.
This is not selfishness.
This is stewardship.
Because the more faithful you are to the body, the clearer the channel becomes for love, service, creation, prayer, and realization.
You cannot serve life deeply while abandoning the very vessel through which life serves.
You cannot embody truth while negotiating away the fire that keeps you alive.
The rebel does not have to shout.
The rebel simply stays faithful to the fire entrusted to them.
Your body is not a cage. It is a scripture written in sensation, breath, rhythm, hunger, pulse, and stillness.
Honor it, and the living current will dance with you.
Ignore it, and even the highest ideas become disconnected from life.
May you become the guardian of your own body.
May you listen before life has to speak through exhaustion.
May you protect your energy without closing your heart.
May you burn cleanly, love deeply, and walk as one who remembers:
this body is not separate from the Kosmos.
It is the Kosmos, breathing as you.
Final Prayer
Beloved Great Spirit,
teach me to honor this body as a sacred dwelling of Presence.
May I no longer treat it as an afterthought,
nor offer my energy to confusion, pressure, or empty noise.May the Great Mystery guide me back into clean devotion,
embodied Presence,
and the courage to burn with truth.May the One-Mind remind me,
breath by breath,
that this body is a living altar of I AM.
In Presence,
O-hey-O

P.S. The most spiritual choice today may be the simplest one: listen to the body before you give your energy away.
P.P.S. And let this be always re-membered: the body belongs to your earthly journey, yet you are not the body. You are the awareness through which the body is known.
