When the next step knows You
Cerished friend on the Path, esteemed Reader,
In this week’s Soul-Letter, I’d like to share a simple noticing: that life is already moving us – perfectly – without asking for our control.
There is a movement living inside you that already knows the whole. It is subtle-almost unnoticeable, yet it carries the intelligence of the entire Kosmos.
When you stop interfering and begin to trust it, this movement quietly reveals where to go next.
Not through planning.
Not through stories.
But through a simple, living knowing.
Just like in a flock of birds. There is no planning, no control, no commander... the movement as One happens by tuning into Kosmic-Intelligence.
We often look for guidance in ideas about the future. We try to frame what comes next, to make it safe, meaningful, or impressive. Yet the moment you truly listen to this inner movement, the future loses its storyline. There is nothing to project, nothing to protect. The next step arrives by itself.
And here's the surprise: if this movement is the movement of the whole, then there is no such thing as a wrong step.
No mistake.
No personal failure to fix or judge.
Judgment dissolves because there is no separate "you" steering the ship-only life moving as life.
"Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced."
In this recognition, something profoundly ordinary happens.
You step out of the endless human games,
spiritual versus non-spiritual,
awakened versus asleep,
special versus ordinary.
You land here. Now.
In the simple awareness that everything is already unfolding. And suddenly, it feels almost comical to call oneself spiritual.
How could one part of the river claim holiness over another? You are already included. Always were. You are not moving through life, you are moving as life, within one seamless flow.
"When I let go of who I think I am, I become what I might be."
This is what it means to meet life directly.
Without intermediaries.
Without borrowing meaning from teachers, traditions, or scriptures.
Not as a rebellion against them, but as a return to what they were always pointing toward.
Here, reverence is simple. You honor what is, because what is happening carries an intelligence beyond the mind's reach. An intention without a name. A wisdom that does not need explanation.
To live this way is not dramatic. It is intimate. Quiet. Honest. It is allowing the unknown to move you-step by step, without demanding a map.
And in that allowance, life stops asking you to become something else. It simply invites you to be part of its movement – fully, humbly, now.
"May we rest in the movement that carries all things.
May we trust the step that arises without fear.
May we meet life directly, and honor the unknown as our guide."
With love and spacious presence,
Bear Saorin

P.S. The movement that brought you here has not made a mistake. Let it continue.
